School projects

Ulfrun regularly visits both primary and secondary schools to give educational presentations. Depending on the school's wishes, we usually come with two to seven persons, dressed in early medieval costumes.

We also bring the necessary objects for the kind of study project our presentation is linked to, like cooking utensils, needle-craft objects, weapons, jewellery, every-day household object, smith's tools etc. If the school so wishes, we can even set up a camp outside. A weapon demonstration is possible, too.

The eventual presentation is given in close consultation with the school. Students can ask questions and look at objects from close-by and even touch them. Our demonstrations are always interactive and hands-on.

Depending on the age of the children and the size of the group, we can organize certain workshops as well.

An expense allowance is determined in consultation.

Museums, historic events etc.

We also regularly enrich special exhibitions or related projects in museums with our presence. History becomes thus touchable, literally and figuratively. Public can hold replicas of objects that are normally behind glass and can ask questions. Children get a picture to make what they learn from books more tangible and real.

Further we are asked for interactive projects in libraries and to take care of the authentic aspect during historic events.

For these kinds of events, the same holds true as for schools: we adapt our presentation to the wishes of the requester and the interests of the intended public, and an expense allowance will be expected.
